Brewery offers lifetime supply of beer in return for stolen laptop

A brewery in New Zealand is offering a lifetime supply of beer, in return for a laptop that was stolen from the Croucher Brewing Company in Rotorua New Zealand. Typically if something is stolen, the theft will usually use it or sell it. Everyone has been approached with an offer to buy a new laptop for cheap, and you know in the back of your head that its stolen. But in this case would you be seen as the bad guy for buying the stolen laptop, or the good guy for returning it for the free lifetime supply of beer?

I wanna rock (rock) your iPod

Now this is actually kinda sad, getting ripped off twice and then getting store credit each time would get a lot of people worked up. Shame on Target for not giving a refund, and instead giving in-store credit.

I wanna rock (rock) your iPod -
Usually, Target is pretty lax with returning shit. You come back three days later with a slightly used toaster oven, no receipt and they’ll give you a full refund. Not the case however, for one 14-year-old girl who received an iPod as a gift. Purchased at one of the retail giant’s stores, the girl went to open her iPod, only to discover the box was filled with rocks. Yes, rocks, making it the worst present you could possibly receive.

Thieves take off with $50,000 worth of cellphones

Thieves take off with $50,000 worth of cellphones - Filed under: The anecdotal evidence for a spike in electronics robberies is piling up, with the latest high profile robbery netting the thieves $50,000 worth of cellphones from a T-Mobile store. Three armed men walked into the store in Fort Bend County in Texas on Thursday, and demanded the "good phones" from the store's safe and the tapes from the CCTV. Staff were tied up, and the thieves deposited the phones into black plastic bags and walked out. Unfortunately for the robbers, T-Mobile keeps a good track of its inventory, and can identify any of the phones if they turn up on the network (meaning that the $50,000 sticker value is much lower on the black market). Crime doesn't pay, especially when your stolen goods can be tracked.[Via textuallyRead | Permalink | Email this | CommentsOffice Depot Featured Gadget: Xbox 360 Platinum System Packs the power to bring games to life!
